3 Easy Steps to Achieving Personal Freedom

No college degree

Or high school diploma

Or job experience

Can prepare you for real life when it starts up

I recently graduated college in May of 2009 and while I have always been living a life of what I thought to be, total freedom, I realized that I had barely hit the tip of the iceberg in all of my travels

No job, school, or life experiences can prepare you for the limitless freedom that you have once you are free of most major responsibilities and have no binding ties to your place of birth

Want to know what is so kickass about this idea?

Everyone, even you with the full time job and two kids have limitless freedom at your fingertips

You just need to know how to tap into it

I have met many people who are on set paths in their life

They seems to be predetermined in all areas of their life and have it “all figured out”

I know I have felt that way at moments in my life

I felt confined by the circumstances of my life, like what I was meant to do was set out for me long in advance

It was fate

Then I began to think

Screw fate

I am the master of my own destiny, and I have an unlimited amount of freedom at my fingertips from which I can set out and accomplish anything I really want in life

This was one of the most liberating feelings I have ever had

I wondered how I could maintain this feeling, and what steps I took in order to have this freedom in my life

1) Know what You Desire

This is easily the first place that many people fail in when they are trying to get more freedom in their lives

When someone talks about absolute freedom and limitless options in their lives, people often panic at the idea of having to chose and follow through with what they want out of life

Its kind of scary feeling to not play it safe and take massive action towards what you want, which may be a HUGE difference from your current life circumstances

Maybe you are a stay at home mom and you want to be a doctor

Maybe you are a business man and want to hike Mt. Everest

Maybe you are tired of feeling old and fat and want to feel vibrant and look alive

Whatever the reasons, you need to decide what changes are needed in your life in order to get what you want our of life

Follow your desires and you will never be lead astray

2) Take ACTION

After you have decided what you want to do, the next step logically would be to carefully measure out some plans and perfectly execute the right course of action in order to get exactly what you want, when you want it

WRONG

People who fall into this trap tend to plan things out until one month later they say

“Well I want to travel the world but I haven’t found a flight cheaper than 500$ to London, so I’m going to sit on it until I can find one for a lower price, that will fall in alignment with my total budget”

They are creating delays in their life and ultimately would be better spent using their time to wash their hair or check Facebook

You need to take MASSIVE ACTION towards the things you want in life

This means running 3 miles when you decide you want to get in better shape

This means booking a flight to the first place you want to go (that is a reasonable price) and starting to pack

If you spend all your time planning, you wont spend any time DOING

Take that first step towards your freedom and you will find that the rest of the journey is a bit easier

3) Celebrate

After you know what you want to do, and have taken steps to making it a big part of your life, many people will stress out about the next step or second guess themselves

Instead of freaking, get your freak on

Realize that by deciding and taking action towards the things that will grant you personal freedom in your life, you are miles ahead of about 80% of the world population

You didn’t fall victim to circumstances

Or play the blame game

You stepped up and made something of your life

So start acting like you are the hot shit you are

Feel good that you are doing the right thing for yourself, and feel the liberation and inner strength that comes from taking steps towards your goals in life

This isn’t some mediation transience experience, and I’m not asking you to “find your center”

I want you to jump up and scream sounds of excitement

Not only will you be reinforcing yourself for future smart decisions in your life, but you will effectively change that way you feel about just spending 1000$ on a plane ticket to Europe, or signing up for scuba diving lesions, or picking up a celery stick instead of Doritos

Once you get a taste of personal freedom, you’ll never want your “leftovers” again

    Personal goal!
Survive another obnoxious year in School.
You know, it’s not the students that have let me down the most,
    it’s my leadership.
I resent their lack of caring, communication and organization.
36 years more good than not years though
Now, it’s about the money and it wasn’t all the previous years.
    :/

Freedom is not achieved, you are already completely free.
